Project scope
The project scope involved a comprehensive renovation of a Rangiora commercial building, entailing rejuvenating the tenant spaces, adding custom features, and replacing both interior and exterior spaces to transform it into the vibrant, successful venue it is today.
The specific strengthening improvements included the following:
- Installation of 25 x 7m structural steel columns embedded 4m deep and encased in concrete
- Roof strengthening with additional portal framing to support the mezzanine
- Installation of 2 x Daikin rooftop HVAC systems with ducted fresh air ventilation
- Building of 45m x 7m Speedwall to separate tenancies
- Installation of modern fire protection systems
- Interior and exterior painting
- Repurposing of existing automated Bunnings nursery doors to create a new entry for CityFitness
- Completion of full Bargain Chemist fit-out: Four new toilets, Kitchen and staff break room
- Ground and prep work of the entire 2,000m² floor for vinyl installation across the retail unit
- Purchase of additional car parks to satisfy council requirements
- Subdivision of the property into two separate tenancies
- Facilitation of CityFitness fit-out coordination
- Installation of comprehensive electrical systems with LED emergency and feature lighting
- Custom fit-out joinery and bespoke joinery by trusted fitterers
- Project direction of all material and key stakeholder groups
